Mastershot Studio

A free Premiere Rush alternative for your computer

Adobe took Premiere Rush off Adobe.com and the app stores on September 30, 2025, and ended its technical support on September 30, 2026. Its help page says new devices and system updates will affect how reliably Rush runs, and it points people to Premiere on mobile and Premiere on desktop. If you used Rush for quick edits on a computer (trimming clips, adding titles and music, exporting for social media), Mastershot Studio does that in your browser with nothing to install and no paid plan: no watermark, exports up to 4K, and automatic subtitles at no cost. It doesn't run on a phone, so if you edited in Rush on your phone, Adobe's Premiere app is the closer replacement.

What Studio doesn't have

  • A phone app. If you edited in Rush on your phone, Adobe's Premiere app for iPhone and Android is the closer fit. Studio needs a computer.
  • Opening Rush projects. Studio can't read a Rush project, so export your videos from Rush while it still runs, then add them to a Studio project.
  • Motion graphics templates and Adobe Stock. Studio's titles are animated text you style yourself, and you bring your own clips and music.
  • Using it without an account. Studio asks you to sign in with Google or an email address so your projects are saved.

If it's already installed, it may keep opening, but Adobe no longer supports it and says new devices and system updates will affect how reliably it runs. Export anything you want to keep while it still works.

No. Export the video from Rush first, then add that file to a Studio project and keep editing.

Yes. Studio runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install on lab computers, and videos aren't uploaded: they open from the computer and stay there. Each person signs in with Google or an email address so their projects are saved.

No. Your videos open straight from your computer and stay there, so even a 2 GB file is ready right away. Your project's edits are saved to your account so you can come back to them.
