How to remove silence from a video
Open a video of someone talking and choose how much of each pause to leave. Mastershot finds every silence on your device and cuts it out, like an automatic jump cut. Untick any cut you want to keep, play it through, and save the tighter video. It's free for videos of any length.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- Videos with sound that this browser can read.
- What happens
- Pauses longer than your setting are shortened rather than removed outright, so the speech doesn't run together. With “um”s and “uh”s on, speech recognition finds the ones said on their own and cuts them too, in English. The video is re-encoded in its source format with the parts joined.
- Limits
- A cut only ever takes out quiet, never a word, so a filler run straight into the next word stays. Music or steady noise under the speech hides the pauses.
Private by design
