How to convert images online

Add one picture or a whole folder of them, choose JPG, PNG, WebP, or ICO, and download each new file or all of them in a ZIP. HEIC photos from an iPhone, AVIF, WebP, SVG, BMP, and GIF all work. Everything is converted in your browser, so your pictures are never uploaded.

  1. Step 1

    Choose your images
Pick one or many, or drop them or a folder into the converter above.
  2. Step 2

    Choose a format
JPG, PNG, WebP, or ICO, and the quality if you like.
  3. Step 3

    Download them
Save each new file, or all of them in a ZIP.

What to expect

Supported inputs
PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, and GIF. HEIC opens in Chrome, Edge, and Safari on most computers, but not in Firefox.
What happens
Each picture is drawn at its full size and saved in the format you choose: JPG at 90% quality, WebP at 85%, or PNG, which loses nothing. JPG has no transparency, so see-through areas become white. The new file has no Exif data, so a photo's location and camera details are left out.
Limits
A moving GIF, WebP, or AVIF converts its first frame. Very large pictures can be more than a phone's browser can hold; a computer handles them.

Questions

Yes. Choose or drop as many as you like, or a folder. They're converted one after another, and you can download them one by one or together in a ZIP.

No. They're converted in your browser, on your device, so nobody else sees them.

JPG for photos you'll share or print, since every app opens it. PNG for screenshots, logos, and anything with transparency or sharp text. WebP for websites, where it's smaller than both. ICO for a favicon or a Windows icon.

PNG keeps every pixel. JPG and WebP compress the picture, at 90% and 85% quality by default, which is hard to tell from the original. You can raise or lower the quality before converting.
