How to cut out part of a video

Move the striped part over what you don’t want, such as a mistake, a pause, or an ad, and export the video without it. The parts before and after are copied from the original and joined, so nothing is re-encoded. To remove more, split at the playhead and delete another part.

What to expect

MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, MPEG-TS, and other videos this browser’s engine can read.
What happens
Everything that isn’t deleted is kept and joined in order in the source format, using the main video and audio tracks. An MPEG-TS recording is saved as MP4, which video editors open. Choose Frame-exact to cut exactly; the kept parts are then re-encoded.
Limits
Without re-encoding, the video after a removed part resumes on a key frame, which can bring back up to a few seconds of the removed part.

Yes. Split the video where each part starts and ends, then click its label to delete it. Everything you don’t delete is kept.

A copied part can only start on a key frame. Move the deleted part’s end onto a key frame (the diamonds above the frames), or choose Frame-exact to cut exactly.
