Drop a song to remove its vocals
Take the singing out of a song, or keep only the vocals, drums, or bass. Videos work too: only the sound changes.
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.
How to remove vocals from a song
Open a song or a video and choose what to keep: the music without the singing, the vocals on their own, or just the drums, the bass, or the other instruments. A music separation model runs on your device and splits the sound into those parts. Listen to the result, then save it.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- Any song, recording, or video this browser’s engine can read, with a sound track it can decode.
- What happens
- The sound is split by HTDemucs, Meta’s open music separation model, and only the parts you keep are saved, at 44.1 kHz. A video’s picture is copied as it is, and the file keeps its format.
- Limits
- It runs fastest in a browser with WebGPU, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a computer: a 3-minute song takes about 20 seconds there. Elsewhere, including on an iPhone or iPad, it runs on the processor and takes about twice as long as the song. Backing singers count as vocals, and reverb on a voice can stay faintly in the music.
