How to convert GIF to PNG

Add your GIFs and download each one as a PNG, which editors, documents, and upload forms accept and which keeps the GIF's transparency. For every frame of an animated GIF as its own PNG, use GIF to frames. It runs in your browser, so your files stay on your device.

  1. Step 1

    Add your GIFs
Pick one or many, or drop them in.
  2. Step 2

    Keep PNG
PNG is selected, with transparency kept.
  3. Step 3

    Download the PNGs
Save each one, or all of them in a ZIP.

What to expect

Supported inputs
GIF files, and any other picture: PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, ICO, or GIF.
What happens
Each GIF is saved as a PNG at its full size with transparency kept. An animated GIF is saved as its first frame.
Limits
A PNG can't hold the animation here. To keep it moving, convert the GIF to MP4 or WebM instead.
