Audio volume booster
Make an MP3, WAV, or any recording louder, up to 400%, without distortion. It’s free, and the audio never leaves your device.
Drop an audio file to make it louder
Turn up a quiet MP3, WAV, M4A, or recording, up to 400%, without distortion. It’s saved in the same format.
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.
How to make audio louder
Open an MP3, WAV, M4A, or other audio file, drag the volume up, and press play to hear it before you save. The waveform shows how loud each part will be, and peaks that would go past full volume are held back instead of clipping. Choose Loudest without distortion to turn it up as far as it goes cleanly. The volume booster runs in your browser on Windows, Mac, Android, or iPhone, with nothing to install.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- MP3, WAV, M4A, FLAC, Ogg, Opus, AAC, AIFF, and other audio this browser’s engine can read, and videos with sound.
- What happens
- The sound is turned up or down by the amount you choose and encoded again in the file’s own format. Turned up, peaks that would go past full volume are held just under it, so the louder sound doesn’t crackle. A FLAC or AIFF is saved as a WAV, also lossless, and a video keeps its picture as it is.
- Limits
- Volume goes from 0 to 400%. A quiet recording gets louder, but so does its background hiss.
