How to convert PNG to GIF

Add a PNG to save it as a GIF, or several PNGs, such as the frames of a sprite or an animation, to play them one after another. An animated PNG (APNG) turns into an animated GIF frame for frame. Transparency is kept. It runs in your browser, so your images stay on your device.

    Add your PNGs
    One PNG, an animated PNG, or all the frames of an animation at once.

  2. Step 2

    Set the timing
    Choose how long each frame shows, such as 0.1 s for animation. An animated PNG keeps its own timing.

  3. Step 3

    Download the GIF
    Press Make GIF and save it, transparency and all.

What to expect

Supported inputs
PNG images, still or animated, and any other picture: JPG, WebP, HEIC, SVG, or GIF.
What happens
Pictures play in the order shown, each for the time you set. An animated PNG keeps its own frames and speed. Transparent parts stay transparent in the GIF.
Limits
GIF transparency is on or off, so soft see-through edges, such as shadows, get a hard edge. Each frame holds 256 colors.
