How to remove the background from a GIF
Open a GIF and Mastershot works out what to remove. - What happens
- One color mode makes every pixel close to the picked color transparent. Around a person uses a segmentation model on each frame and cleans the edges against the full picture. Every frame keeps its timing and the GIF keeps its size and loop setting.
- Limits
- A GIF's pixels are either shown or clear, so a transparent GIF has hard edges and can look jagged on a dark page. One color mode also removes that color inside the subject. Around a person finds people, not objects or pets.
