How to remove music from a video
Open a video with music under someone talking or singing, and select Remove music. A music separation model runs on your device, splits the sound into the voice and the instruments, and keeps the voice. The picture is copied as it is, so only the sound changes. To do the opposite and keep the music, choose Music.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- Videos this browser’s engine can read, with a sound track it can decode: MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV, and more. Songs and recordings work too.
- What happens
- HTDemucs, Meta’s open music separation model, splits the sound into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments, and only the part you keep is saved, at 44.1 kHz. The picture is copied without re-encoding, and the video keeps its format.
- Limits
- It's made for music: the voice it keeps is whatever sings or speaks over the band. Sound effects and crowd noise can land on either side. It runs fastest in a browser with WebGPU, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a computer.
