Drop an image to blur

It opens in the editor, on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, and GIF. As many as you like, or a whole folder.

How to blur an image

Open a photo and blur all of it, or switch to Parts I mark and drag boxes over faces, license plates, or private details to blur only those. Set how strong the blur is, or switch to blocks to pixelate instead. JPG, PNG, WebP, and iPhone HEIC photos work, and it all runs in your browser.

  1. Step 1

    Open your picture
A JPG, PNG, WebP, or iPhone photo.
  2. Step 2

    Choose what to blur
The whole picture, or boxes you drag over faces or text.
  3. Step 3

    Download it
Saved in the same format, at full size.

What to expect

Supported inputs
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF (first frame), and SVG pictures.
What happens
The blur is drawn over the saved picture, about as many pixels far as the strength you set. A JPG, PNG, or WebP stays in its format; transparency is kept.
Limits
Blur strong enough to hide a face or text: a light blur can sometimes be read back. For video, use Blur video.

Questions

Yes. Choose Parts I mark and drag a box over each face, plate, or line of text to blur.

Draw boxes over the background parts to blur, leaving the subject sharp. There's no automatic subject detection yet.

Both hide details. Blur looks softer; blocks make it obvious something was hidden.
