How to crop an image online
Add a picture, choose a square, portrait, landscape, or free crop, and drag the box or its handles over the part you want to keep. The crop is saved as a new file the moment you let go, so you can download it or adjust and crop again. The image cropper runs in your browser, so your picture never leaves your device.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF, and SVG, one or many at once. HEIC opens in Chrome, Edge, and Safari on most computers, but not in Firefox.
- What happens
- The pixels inside the box are kept at their full size, and a JPG, PNG, or WebP stays in its format unless you choose another. A fixed shape keeps its proportions while you drag; Free lets any side move. Type a size under Size to scale the crop as well. With several pictures, a fixed shape is centered on each of the others, and a free crop keeps the same proportions of each picture.
- Limits
- A crop can't reach outside the picture. Only the first frame of a moving GIF is cropped. Very large pictures can be more than a phone's browser can hold; a computer handles them.
