Drop an audio file to change its pitch

Raise or lower a song or recording by semitones, and keep its speed and length.

MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.

How to change the pitch of a song

Open an MP3, WAV, M4A, or any audio file, pick how many semitones to move it up or down, and save it. The song keeps its tempo and length, so it's a pitch changer and key changer in one: move a song into a singer's range, or tune a track to play along with. A video's sound changes under its picture. It all runs in your browser, so the file stays on your device.

  1. Step 1

    Open your audio
An MP3, WAV, M4A, or a video with sound.
  2. Step 2

    Pick the semitones
Up or down, from 1 to 12; the speed stays.
  3. Step 3

    Download the file
Saved in the same format as the original.

What to expect

Supported inputs
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AIFF, and other audio files, and videos (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM) with sound.
What happens
The sound is stretched and resampled so its pitch moves by the semitones you choose while its length stays the same, then saved in its own format (FLAC as WAV). A video keeps its picture as it is.
Limits
Up to 12 semitones, an octave, each way. Big changes make voices sound less natural, as they do in every pitch shifter.

Questions

No. The song plays at its own tempo and lasts exactly as long. To change both together, like a tape, use Change audio speed.

One semitone is one key on a piano. Moving a song in C up 2 semitones puts it in D; 12 semitones is a whole octave.

Yes. Open the video and its sound moves up or down while the picture is copied as it is.
