Karaoke maker

Turn any song into a karaoke track: the singing comes out and the music stays. Then put the lyrics on screen if you like. Free, with no upload or watermark.

Drop a song to make it karaoke

The singing comes out and the music stays, ready to sing over. Then put the lyrics on screen if you like.

MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.

How to make a karaoke version of a song

Open a song and select Make karaoke track. A music separation model runs on your device, takes the vocals out, and keeps the band, so you get an instrumental to sing over. To sing along with the words, take the track to the lyric video maker, which finds the song's timed lyrics and shows them line by line as they're sung.

What to expect

Supported inputs
Any song or video this browser’s engine can read: MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, Ogg, MP4, and more.
What happens
HTDemucs, Meta’s open music separation model, splits the song into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments, and everything but the vocals is saved, at 44.1 kHz. The file keeps its format.
Limits
It runs fastest in a browser with WebGPU, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a computer: a 3-minute song takes about 20 seconds there. Elsewhere, including on an iPhone or iPad, it runs on the processor and takes about twice as long as the song. Backing singers count as vocals and come out too, and reverb on a voice can stay faintly.

Questions

Open the song here and select Make karaoke track. You get the same song without the singing, ready to sing over.

Yes. When the track is ready, select Make a karaoke video. The lyric video maker opens with your karaoke track and the karaoke look, which fills each line with color as it's sung. It finds the song's timed lyrics, or you can tap them in yourself, and saves an MP4.

The same thing: a song with the lead vocals taken out. That's what this makes.

Yes. Choose Vocals to save the singing on its own, an acapella.

No. The model, about 126 MB, is downloaded once and runs in your browser, so your song never leaves your device.

Yes, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on length.
