What to expect

Supported inputs
Any song, recording, or video this browser’s engine can read, with a sound track it can decode.
What happens
HTDemucs, Meta’s open music separation model, splits the sound into four stems at 44.1 kHz, the same length as the song so they line up in any editor. They're saved as 16-bit WAV or as MP3, in a ZIP.
Limits
Four stems: guitar, piano, and synths all go to Other. It runs fastest in a browser with WebGPU, such as Chrome, Edge, or Safari on a computer, where a 3-minute song takes about 20 seconds. WAV stems of a long song are large: about 10 MB a minute each.

Questions

Open the song here and select Split into stems. When it's done, play each stem, then download them all in a ZIP or one at a time.

Vocals, drums, bass, and other, which is everything else: guitars, keys, strings, and synths.

Yes. Every stem starts at the same moment and is as long as the song, so they line up when you drop them on tracks side by side.

WAV keeps each stem lossless, for mixing and remixing. MP3 is about a fifth of the size, for listening or sharing.

No. The model, about 126 MB, is downloaded once and runs in your browser, so your song never leaves your device.
