Files stay on your device

Drop a video shot on a green or blue screen

The screen is keyed out on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

Any media file this browser’s engine can read.

How to remove a green screen from a video

Open the video, and the green is keyed out on your device. Pick the exact shade from the picture, adjust the edge, and put anything behind the subject: a blur, a color, or your own picture. Or save it transparent for your editor.

  1. Step 1

    Choose a video
Pick a video shot on a green screen.
  2. Step 2

    Key it out
Pick the screen's color and set the edge.
  3. Step 3

    Download the video
Save it transparent or with a new background.

What to expect

Supported inputs
Videos this browser can read, shot on a green or blue screen.
What happens
Pixels close to the screen's color become transparent, with a soft edge, and green light reflected onto the subject is cleaned up. With a new background the video is saved as an MP4 with its sound.
Limits
A subject wearing the screen's color disappears with it. For a video with no green screen, use Remove video background.
