How to remove voice from a video
Open a video and the AI separates its sound into voice and everything else, then saves the video with the talking or singing taken out and the music kept. It suits making an instrumental from a music video, or reusing a clip's background music. The picture is copied as it is, and it all runs in your browser.
Step 1

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, and other videos with sound, and audio files.
- What happens
- The sound is split by HTDemucs into vocals, drums, bass, and other instruments, and everything but the vocals is kept and re-encoded; the picture is copied. The model, about 126 MB, downloads once and your browser keeps it.
- Limits
- Sound effects and crowd noise count as other sounds, so they stay with the music. It's fastest on a computer with WebGPU; a phone takes longer than the video.
