Drop images to resize

Add one or as many as you like. Each is edited on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, and GIF. As many as you like, or a whole folder.

Size for
Pick a size, then drag the box over the part to keep.

Shown 820 × 312 on a computer and cut to 640 × 360 on a phone, so keep what matters in the middle.

Both sides are used as typed, stretching the picture if they don't match its shape.

Crop
Shape

Drag the box over the picture, or pull its handles. The shape is centered on any other picture you add.

Turn

Clockwise above zero. The corners it leaves are filled in, or see-through in a PNG.

Mirror

Horizontal swaps left and right, as a mirror does. Vertical turns it upside down.

Every color becomes the gray of how bright it looks.

A JPG, PNG, or WebP stays what it is. Other pictures become JPG, or PNG when they're see-through.

How to resize an image for Facebook

Pick the cover photo at 851 × 315, a profile picture, a post image at 1200 × 630, or an event cover, add your picture, and drag the box over the part to keep. It's saved at exactly that size for download. Everything happens in your browser, so your picture is never uploaded.

  1. Step 1

    Pick the size
Cover photo, profile picture, post, or event cover.
  2. Step 2

    Choose the part to keep
Add your picture and drag the box over it.
  3. Step 3

    Download
Save it at Facebook's exact pixels.

What to expect

Supported inputs
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF, and SVG. HEIC opens in Chrome, Edge, and Safari on most computers, but not in Firefox.
What happens
The crop box keeps the preset's shape while you drag it, and the part inside is drawn at the preset's pixels, so nothing is stretched. The file is saved as JPG, or PNG for a picture with transparency. Facebook compresses every upload again, so a JPG under 100 KB at the right size is changed least.
Limits
A cover photo is shown 820 × 312 on a computer and cut to 640 × 360 on a phone, so keep faces and text in the middle. Your profile picture covers its lower left.
