Drop images to resize

Add one or as many as you like. Each is edited on your device, so nothing is uploaded.

PNG, JPG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, and GIF. As many as you like, or a whole folder.

Size for
Pick a size, then drag the box over the part to keep.

16:9; keep what matters in the middle 1546 × 423, which every screen shows.

Both sides are used as typed, stretching the picture if they don't match its shape.

Crop
Shape

Drag the box over the picture, or pull its handles. The shape is centered on any other picture you add.

Turn

Clockwise above zero. The corners it leaves are filled in, or see-through in a PNG.

Mirror

Horizontal swaps left and right, as a mirror does. Vertical turns it upside down.

Every color becomes the gray of how bright it looks.

A JPG, PNG, or WebP stays what it is. Other pictures become JPG, or PNG when they're see-through.

How to resize an image for YouTube

Pick the banner at 2560 × 1440, the profile picture at 800 × 800, or a thumbnail at 1280 × 720, add your picture, and drag the box over the part to keep. It's saved at exactly that size for download. Everything happens in your browser, so your picture is never uploaded.

  1. Step 1

    Pick the size
    Banner, profile picture, or thumbnail.
  2. Step 2

    Choose the part to keep
Add your picture and drag the box over it.
  3. Step 3

    Download
Save it at YouTube's exact pixels.

What to expect

Supported inputs
JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, AVIF, BMP, GIF, and SVG. HEIC opens in Chrome, Edge, and Safari on most computers, but not in Firefox.
What happens
The crop box keeps the preset's shape while you drag it, and the part inside is drawn at the preset's pixels, so nothing is stretched. A picture smaller than the preset is drawn larger and gets softer. The file is saved as JPG, or PNG for a picture with transparency, and you can keep it under YouTube's size limit with Keep under.
Limits
YouTube shows a different part of the banner on each screen: only the middle 1546 × 423 is on every one, so keep text and faces there. Banners must be under 6 MB and thumbnails under 2 MB.

Questions

2560 × 1440 pixels, 16:9, under 6 MB. A TV shows all of it, a computer a wide strip, and a phone only the middle 1546 × 423, so put what matters there.

800 × 800 pixels, shown as a circle, under 4 MB. Keep your face or logo in the middle.

1280 × 720 pixels, 16:9, under 2 MB, as JPG, PNG, or GIF.

No. They're resized in your browser, on your device, so nobody else sees them.
