Drop an audio file to play it backwards

A song, voice message, or recording reversed, saved in its own format. A video's sound is reversed with its picture.

MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.

How to reverse audio

Open an MP3, WAV, voice memo, or any sound and save it playing from its end to its start, for a backwards-message game, a sound effect, or a reverse song challenge. It stays in its own format. A video is reversed picture and all. It runs in your browser, so the file stays on your device.

  1. Step 1

    Open your audio
An MP3, WAV, voice memo, or a video.
  2. Step 2

    Reverse it
It plays from its end to its start.
  3. Step 3

    Download it
Saved in the same format as the original.

What to expect

Supported inputs
MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus, AIFF, and other audio files, and videos (MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM) with sound.
What happens
The sound is decoded and saved backwards, last sample first, in its own format (FLAC as WAV). A video plays backwards with its sound reversed too.
Limits
The whole file is reversed. Very long recordings take a while on a phone.

Questions

Yes. An MP3 stays an MP3, a WAV a WAV; only FLAC is saved as WAV.

Record yourself, reverse the recording here, then try to sing the backwards version and reverse that too.
