Convert to WebP

Lower makes smaller files. A picture that's already a WebP is kept as it is.

How to convert an image to WebP

Add your pictures and download them as WebP, which loads faster on a website than JPG or PNG at the same quality. Transparency is kept, so it suits logos and product cutouts too. The image to WebP converter runs in your browser, so the files stay on your device.

  1. Step 1

    Add your images
JPG, PNG, HEIC, SVG, or any other picture, as many as you like.
  2. Step 2

    Keep WebP
WebP is selected. Lower the quality for smaller files.
  3. Step 3

    Download the WebPs
Save each one, or all of them in a ZIP.

What to expect

Supported inputs
JPG, PNG, HEIC, AVIF, SVG, BMP, ICO, GIF, and WebP files.
What happens
Each picture is saved as a WebP at its full size, at 90% quality unless you choose another, with transparency kept. Safari, which can't write WebP itself, uses a built-in encoder.
Limits
An animated GIF is saved as its first frame. Some older apps and Windows Photo Viewer can't open WebP.
