Is Zamzar safe?
Zamzar is run by Zamzar Limited in England and converts files on its own servers. Its privacy policy says it keeps uploaded files and their converted versions for up to 7 days, that its file servers are in the United States, and that it doesn't show third-party ads. It may record your email address, if you give one, and the file's name.

What that means for your file
- The whole file is uploaded before anything is done to it.
- The upload and the converted file can stay on Zamzar's systems for up to 7 days.
- The file's name, and your email address if you give it, are recorded with the conversion.
- The policy says authorised staff access production systems; it doesn't say whether that includes opening files.
