MP3 cutter
Cut an MP3 to the part you want and save it as an MP3 again, copied without re-encoding. It’s free, with no upload, sign-up, or watermark.
Drop an MP3 to cut
Drag the ends of the waveform in to keep the part you want. An MP3 stays an MP3, copied without re-encoding unless you add a fade.
MP3, M4A, WAV, FLAC, and other audio, or a video with sound.
How to cut an MP3
Open the MP3 and drag the ends of the waveform in, or type the start and end times, to trim it. To cut a part out of the middle, split it and delete that part. An MP3 is stored in short frames, so the MP3 cutter copies the frames you keep and the sound isn’t encoded again. It works in the browser on your phone or computer, with nothing to download.

What to expect
- Supported inputs
- MP3 files, and any other audio or video file this browser’s engine can read.
- What happens
- An MP3 is saved as an MP3, copied frame by frame without re-encoding. A fade in or out re-encodes it as MP3. Other audio keeps its own format, and a video’s sound is saved as an MP3.
- Limits
- An MP3 frame is about 26 milliseconds long, so a cut without a fade lands within that of your mark.
